Integrated Design and Factory-Matched Finish
The Ascent Truck Cap is color matched using OEM paint codes and offered in five factory paint options. Its heavy duty ABS construction and vanishing edge design allow the cap to sit cleanly on the bed, following the truck’s body lines for a seamless, integrated appearance.
The cap features a double curved rear door and frameless side windows with tinted safety glass that helps protect cargo from UV exposure while limiting visibility into the bed, adding both protection and security. Concealed hinges reduce exposed hardware and strut brackets, giving the cap a cleaner, more seamless look.
Integrated Design and Factory-Matched Finish
Security is handled through an electronic latching system that integrates directly with the Tacoma’s factory locking system. Using the OEM key fob, the truck cap locks and unlocks in sync with the vehicle doors, with no additional keys or separate locking systems required. If the vehicle is unlocked but no doors are opened, the system automatically relocks, helping prevent accidental access.
In the event of a power loss or system issue, a manual rear door key ensures access. Inside the cap, a clearly marked anti-entrapment dial allows the rear door to be locked or unlocked from within, adding an extra layer of safety and control, especially useful when camping or accessing the bed from inside.
Easy Bed Access and Everyday Usability
Designed to make daily use more convenient, the Ascent features lift up side windows that provide quick access to gear without opening the tailgate. These windows are supported with gas struts allowing for smooth and controlled operation.
For added versatility, the side windows can be set in either a full lift up or pop out position, making it easier to manage airflow or access gear in tighter spaces. Up front, a clear lift up window allows for rear visibility while also providing easy access between the cab and truck cap.
Built for Travel, Dusty Roads, and Gear-Heavy Setups
For off road travel and long dirt roads, the Ascent includes a slimline, high flow truck cap vent on the front-end, designed to help keep dust out of the bed. By pressurizing the interior of the cap as you drive, the vent reduces dust being pulled in through the rear door or tailgate.
Inside the bed, a high output LED interior light provides reliable illumination for loading and organizing gear in low light conditions.
For added versatility, an available internal support system allows the Ascent to support roof racks and cargo accessories with confidence. This makes it easy to carry additional gear for travel, camping, or extended trips without sacrificing stability or usability.
