The ARB Winch comes prewired and ready to install, keeping the process straightforward from the start. The clutch handle (the lever that lets you disengage the spool so you can pull the rope out by hand before a recovery) adjusts to 16 different positions, so you can orient it to the most accessible spot regardless of how the winch sits in your bumper. And our low-profile design fits any winch-ready bumper across a wide range of 4x4 platforms.

The ARB Winch uses a four-stage hardened steel gearbox designed to spread that load across more contact points, so no single gear takes the full force of a hard pull.

ZERO-DRAG BRAKING SYSTEM

ZERO-DRAG BRAKING SYSTEM

The ARB Winch moves the brake to the gearbox, keeping it physically separated from the drum and the rope. Because of this the rope is not exposed to the excessive heat. Less heat means less wear on the synthetic line and a braking system that holds up over the long term.

Our hand controller gives you two ways to operate the winch: wireless at up to 40 meters via a 2.4GHz connection, or hardwired via a five-meter lead when you want a direct connection.

Integrated Motor Control Means No Separate Control Box

Most off-road winches rely on a separate control box mounted somewhere in the engine bay. This is an extra component to wire, mount, and troubleshoot. The ARB Winch eliminates it entirely by integrating the motor control unit directly within the winch body itself.

At the center of the system is a custom Albright contactor, the same type of high-current switch used in demanding industrial applications. This contactor is connected directly to the motor. Because of the direct connection our design improves motor efficiency, reduces voltage drop under load, and removes an entire category of potential failure points from the system.

500-AMP POWER ISOLATION SWITCH

Every ARB Winch comes with a 500-amp power isolation switch, universal mount, stainless lanyard, and dust cover included as standard.

A power isolation switch is a master cut-off for your winch. When the winch isn't in use, the switch disconnects it completely from the vehicle's electrical system.

SYNTHETIC ROPE

The ARB Winch comes standard with grey synthetic winch rope and a protective sleeve to guard against trail hazards during a recovery.

For most, synthetic rope is the preferred option. Not only is it lighter than steel rope, it’s significantly safer if it breaks under tension and easier to handle with bare hands throughout the recovery process.
